Brindisi-Avellino: under heavy rain, even with goals

For this Sunday my choice of the match to follow falls on a very fascinating challenge, especially in the stands: the one between Brindisi and Avellino, two important and powerful supporters, unfortunately relegated to Serie C. A category not suited to their depth, considering that between Serie A and Serie B there are teams, cities and fans certainly not up to the level of these squares or capable of bringing their numbers, especially away.

The weather is not the best, with rain at times surrounding the match with kick-off at 6.30pm on Sunday, a logistically not easy choice, especially for those arriving from far away.

Starting from the away sector, around 400 Irpinia fans arrived in Puglia and entered en masse, close to kick-off, giving further impact to their entrance on the scene by throwing smoke bombs onto the pitch. Everything is really beautiful and when they come together, they manage to offer a great performance for the whole ninety minutes. Helped by a great performance on the pitch, their support is powerful, centered on very thick fists and flags in the wind, despite the heavy rain. Really in great shape, also due to the compactness they manage to maintain. Congratulations to the wolves!

As for the home sector, it can be substantiated starting from yet another truly terrible team performance on the pitch: despite this, the Curva Sud still wins its match, never ceasing to incite and honor the city, spending itself in profuse handfuls, very powerful chants repeated, even down four goals or in torrential rain. They repeatedly invite the team to show off their attributes, convinced that they don’t deserve to be in the bottom of the rankings of this recently achieved C and that no one wants to lose so soon.

Offensive chants between the two fans should be noted, to add further spice between them: that’s fine, the beauty of cheering is also this, exactly what someone is trying to censor upstream.
