Chairs flying, but also slaps, kicks and punches. A fight between about twenty young people outside a pub near the Empoli station. All in the rain and in full weather alert. It happened on Saturday evening in the same place where last week a person entered causing panic with a baseball bat. The brawl broke out around 1.50 am. What triggered the brawl is unclear. A citizen documented everything with a video where several boys can be seen violently lashing out at a visibly agitated person. They hit her repeatedly with the club’s plastic and wooden chairs. The boy, in turn, responds to the insults by also throwing chairs. He slips to the ground and is hit by other blows, kicks, chairs on his head. A woman, probably working in the club, manages to get in the middle and break up the fight.
The police intervened on the spot, but when the soldiers arrived the fight had ended and the protagonists had already left. Investigations are underway to try to reconstruct what happened. From what we have learned there were no complaints or reports from the emergency room. Unfortunately, this is the second violent episode in the same place, a meeting point for many young people, within a week. In the first case, a customer entered brandishing a baseball bat and slamming it on the counter, creating fear among those present. The man then walked away.
