The new training week at Borussia Mönchengladbach started with a few personnel surprises. This is the current status.
No serious shoulder injury: Jordan reported fit to Gladbach. IMAGO/foal photo
The training campers at Borussia Park watched closely when the team entered the pitch on Tuesday. And there was actually a reason to breathe a sigh of relief: Jordan, who had injured his shoulder in the 2-4 defeat in Dortmund and had to be substituted at half-time, was there again. As the subsequent examinations showed, there was no serious injury to the injured shoulder. The American was even able to complete the entire session with the team on Tuesday.
This means that coach Gerardo Seoane can plan with the recently so important attacker for the upcoming home game against TSG Hoffenheim next Saturday (3:30 p.m., LIVE! on kicker). “Jordan is still in a little pain, but was able to train normally again today. I assume it will stay that way all week,” said the VfL coach after the session. In Dortmund, Jordan was preferred to Tomas Cvancara in the number nine position.

Question mark at Elvedi – Netz ends training earlier
However, there is still a question mark over Nico Elvedi, who was missing on Tuesday due to an infection. If the Swiss international has to miss the Hoffenheim game, he would be the third loss in central defense after the injuries to Ko Itakura (still in running training after ankle surgery) and Tony Jantschke (torn fascia in his left thigh). It remains unclear when Itakura will be fully operational again. But there won’t be enough time for Hoffenheim.
What would relegation mean for Schalke?
The German U17 is in the World Cup final after a thriller against Argentina, the architect of success is extending its game in Leverkusen – and Schalke is once again in crisis mode
11/28/23 – 4:33 p.m. 14:34 minutes
Robin Hack was allowed to skip training, he was with his partner Melissa, the couple is expecting a baby today. Luca Netz ended the unit a little earlier than his colleagues for reasons of load control.
Hannes Wolf took the next step in the comeback process after tearing the meniscus in his knee in October. The offensive player was able to take part in the first part of the team training again, and the load should now be gradually increased. Wolf’s sporting prospects in Gladbach are manageable: his contract expires in 2024 and the club has no plans to extend it. It is possible that the separation will take place in the winter if Wolf decides to move in January and finds a new club.
