Bengals’ Joe Burrow and Ravens’ Mark Andrews Sidelined with Injuries in Divisional Duel

Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow left Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens with a right wrist injury.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor indicated after halftime that Burrow likely would not be back in the game.

Burrow appeared to be injured while throwing a pass in the second quarter. He was then seen attempting to throw a ball along the sidelines, but was unable to do so and then went to the locker room.

Jake Browning took Burrow’s place at quarterback for the Bengals.

Ravens tight end Mark Andrews left the game early in the first quarter with an ankle injury sustained when he was tackled by Logan Wilson at the goal gate.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson also appeared to suffer an injury in the first quarter, also sustaining a tackle from Wilson. Jackson went to the medical tent briefly, but was at his post for the Ravens’ next sequence on offense.

This is an important duel within the very interesting North division of the American Association. The Ravens are atop the section with a 7-3 record while the Bengals are fourth despite their record above .500 (5-4). The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns sit second and third with identical 6-3 records.
