Australia is the first finalist in this year’s Davis Cup. The Australian team beat Finland 2-0 in the semi-finals on Friday.

First Alexei Popyrin won his singles against Otto Virtanen 7:6 (7:5), 6:2, then Alex de Minaur won 6:4, 6:3 against Emil Ruusuvuori. The scheduled double was no longer played.
In the second semi-final, the eagerly awaited clash between the two favorites Italy and Serbia will take place on Saturday. The Serbian team is led by 24-time Grand Slam tournament winner Novak Djokovic, Italy relies on its South Tyrolean high-flyer Jannik Sinner. Both top stars only faced each other last Sunday in the final of the ATP Finals in Turin – with Djokovic coming out on top. It starts on Saturday at 12 p.m.
