Arminia’s Victory Over Rödinghausen: Biankadi Leads the Way

Bielefeld. DSC coach Mitch Kniat had not announced any experiments. Promised – kept. What Arminia put on the table against the regional league team was the first formation, apart from the center forward position, in which Manuel Wintzheimer was preferred over captain Fabian Klos. Nicklas Shipnoski, who was strong in the second half against Sandhausen, started on the left side of the attack.

Rödinghausen was deep in a five-man chain, but showed two or three good transition moments in the opening minutes, but these were stopped in time by the Bielefeld defense.

The hosts created their first good chance when Kaito Mizuta passed through to Wintzheimer centrally in the 12th minute. However, Rödinghausen’s keeper got to the ball half a step faster. Ten minutes later it hit the visitors’ goal.

Two signs of life from the guests

After a long throw-in from Christopher Lannert in the box, the defender got the ball on his feet again, pointed the ball in an arc to the six-yard box, where Leandro Putaro had sat down in front of his opponent and volleyed in to make it 1-0.

Two signs of life from the guests followed with a shot and a well-taken free kick each by Eros Dacaj. Jonas Kersken was there twice.

Afterwards the derby mood arose. Rödinghausen’s Mattis Rohlfing was shown a yellow-red card after a foul on Wörl (36′). Shortly afterwards, Ramien Safi almost brought the guests level with a powerful shot. The decimated guests made further bold advances, but Bielefeld’s narrow lead remained.

Kniat makes the change – with success

After the break, Rödinghausen maintained its defensive orientation, leaving striker Safi largely alone up front. And although Arminia pressed for the next goal, the SVR leadership managed a solo run down the left side into the Bielefeld penalty area in the 58th minute. Two DSC defenders didn’t look good at all and goalkeeper Kersken was also lucky because the Rödinghausen player only hit the inside post, from where the ball bounced out again.

Kniat obviously saw a need for action and rearranged the front row. Putaro moved to the center forward position and substitutes Merveille Biankadi and Aygün Yildirim occupied the flanks. Both immediately became protagonists.

When the visiting keeper Yildirim was too impetuous in the penalty area, referee Timo Gansloweit whistled for a penalty. Biankadi makes it 2-0 with a neat beam shot high up. In the 85th and 90th minutes, the striker topped things off with two more goals.

Arminia: Kersken – Lannert (74th Geerkens), Schneider, Großer, Oppie – Wörl (74th Özkan) – Schreck (85th Kiewitt), Mizuta – Putaro, Wintzheimer (67th Yildirim), Shipnoski (67th Biankadi).

The second OWL third division team, SC Verl, confidently won 5-0 against SG Wattenscheid.
