It certainly doesn’t seem nice to me to decline an invitation from the President of the Republic. I repeat, I’ll go there”, comments Pietrangeli.
Who then returns to the emotion of winning Davis again, albeit this time only as a spectator and exceptional fan: «The other time it wasn’t so celebrated, it was a bit of a strange period. This time I’m happy that the Italians have understood the importance of the event, which goes beyond sport.”
