(Reuters) – The National Baseball Hall of Fame announced on the 20th the 2024 inductees, adding 12 new members to the list, including Adrian Beltre, Chase Uttley and Joe Mauer.
Beltre played a total of 21 years with the Dodgers, Mariners, Red Sox, and Rangers, totaling 3,166 hits, 477 home runs, and 1,707 RBIs. He is a four-time All-Star, five-time Gold Glove Award winner, and four-time Silver Slugger Award winner.
Uttley spent more than 12 seasons of his 16-year career with the Phillies, winning the World Series in 2008. He had a total of 1,885 hits, 259 home runs, and 1,025 RBIs, and was an All-Star six times and Silver Slugger Award winner four times.
Mauer is a catcher who spent his 15-year career playing exclusively for the Twins, and in 2009 he joined the team with good results such as a league-leading batting average of .365 and an OPS (on-base percentage + slugging percentage) of 1.031. – Selected as league MVP. He was a six-time All-Star, won three Gold Gloves, and five Silver Sluggers.
