After winning the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in 2023 and the Jockey Club, the two most prestigious races on the planet, Ace Impact, the thoroughbred trained in Deauville, is retiring at the Beaumont stud farm in Vauville (Calvados) ! It is obviously an unexpected showcase for the region. This horse is indeed the best of his generation in Europe. He is undefeated and today a second career begins for him as a stallion.
40,000 euros per projection
“In general, horses at this level immediately go abroad to lead their new life as a stallion. Keeping such a horse in France is fabulous. He is one of the best athletes in the world. This means that French breeders who have mares here will be able to use him more easily than if he had gone to a foreign country” explains Mathieu Alex, the director of the Normandy stud.
Conversely, mares will be brought here from abroad to be covered by that horse. Needless to say, the horse will benefit from special attention. “We have an employee in charge exclusively of stallions. He knows perfectly the horses he follows on a daily basis. It can immediately detect the slightest problem. If he eats less well, if he seems depressed, we are notified right away. », continues Mathieu Alex. Finally, everything suggests that this second career will be at least as fruitful as the first. Many breeders have already positioned themselves to benefit from a mating, the price of which has nevertheless been set at… 40,000 euros!
