The violence returns to be the protagonist in a football field. On this occasion, an elbow to the back of the head during a match between Santa Pola A and the Young Spanish B from group 8 of the 1st Youth Regional it almost cost him his life to a young soccer player named Enzo. The brutal attack left him convulsing on the grass before the terror of his relatives who saw what happened from the stands.
His opponent’s blow was so brutal that Enzo instantly ended up unconscious on the grass: “It was an attack without the ball and from behindan elbow at the height of the neck when the ball was 50 meters away,” the young man’s club explained on social networks.
As Enzo convulsed on the ground, according to witnesses, The alleged aggressor continued to insult the young man. even wishing him dead on several occasions.
From the alleged attacker’s club have denied the facts and have assured that what happened has been distorted and that it is “purely subjective interpretations that do not fit reality.”
Enzo is already recovering at home with his family although he assures that continues to experience dizziness and vomitingand that the nights are especially hard because of the pain he still suffers: “I can barely sleep”.
Celso Ortega is the Enzo’s mother’s partner and has connected live with ‘Cuatro al día’ to explain what happened on the field:
“Enzo was lying on the ground 60 meters from the ball, and when he saw that the boy was lying on the grass I ran to see what was happening to him and when he arrived at his side he was convulsing and rolling his eyesunconscious, you can imagine how I felt, his mother, seeing that I fell to the ground, also came running, his three year old sister I asked him crying please don’t die“.
