“Who’s the professor now?” »: Ngannou looks back on his controversial defeat against Fury

It was the sporting event of the weekend. This Saturday evening in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the “Baddest man on the planet” prize was awarded, meaning “the worst man on the planet”. A fight won by Tyson Fury against Francis Ngannou by the judges’ decision. A success which did not convince everyone since the MMA specialist managed to send the WBC heavyweight world champion to the ground, without being rewarded in the end.

The Cameroonian returned to this controversy the day after his defeat in a long 20-minute video published on YouTube. “I am satisfied with my performance. I think I matched the best boxer on the planet for my first fight. I know I could have done even better, and I will continue to prepare for that,” he warned on camera.

The MMA specialist put a coin back into the machine, saying “I’m sure he won”. ” I have already said it. I wasn’t surprised. I am all alone in this world. (…) What would happen if I had beaten him for the first time? What would this whole boxing world look like? It’s a shame for this sport. The judges should be sanctioned,” he said. As a reminder, one of the three judges gave the victory to Ngannou (95-94), the other two considered Fury more successful (95-94 and 96-93).

Francis Ngannou also explained the details of his defeat when he knocked the “Gipsy King” to the ground during the third round: “At the start of the fight, when we were touching gloves, he said to me: I I’m going to take you back to school. So when I knocked him out, I danced in front of him. I was like: you are a very bad teacher. Who is the teacher now? » A rebuke that we heard much less when the judges’ decision was announced…
