VIDEO ⟩ A scary sight in an NHL match

“Senators” recognized the superiority of “Islanders” in the visitors with the result 2:3. The Ottawa team lost not only this match, but also defender Eric Branstrum.

In the second period of the game, the power play against Branstrum was performed by “Islanders” forward Kel Clutterback. At the time of the takedown, the violation of the rules was not recorded, but Branstrum unfortunately lost his balance and landed directly on the back of his head after falling.

The experienced blow, even through the helmet, was big enough for the hockey player to be unable to leave the field on his own.

After the game, the Senators announced that Branstrum was conscious and able to control all of his limbs.

“We’re waiting for news. Everything looks good so far. It’s positive, but we’ll wait for more news,” Senators head coach Dennis Joseph Smith said after the game.

The 24-year-old Branstrum has yet to score in seven matches this season.
