Verstappen dominates first free practice session

World title in his pocket, Max Verstappen does not intend to stop there since he dominated the first free practice session this Friday at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico.

The three-time world champion was very fast from the first minutes of the session with his Red Bull shod with Pirelli prototypes. But the Thai Alex Albon caused a surprise at the end of the session, failing less than 1 hundredth (+0”095) of the Dutchman’s time (1’19”718) at the wheel of his Williams.

Verstappen’s teammate, Sergio Perez, finished 3rd but almost 3 tenths behind (+0”297). Followed by Lando Norris on his McLaren and Charles Leclerc with his Ferrari, more than 5 tenths behind.

The 21st Grand Prix of the season (out of 24) will take place on Sunday in Mexico.
