Twelve new sports facilities will transform the Pellerina park into one open-air gym. The project fits fully into the more general React Eu, under the aegis of Pnrr. A health journey – as it was renamed – complete with equipment and flooring.
«The total cost of the project stands at around 40 thousand euros and was followed by us for the maintenance of the public green areas. The structures were made of steel and finished with a paint finish with polyester edges” explained Giacomo Arnone from the maintenance department Public green about the initiative. The equipment must be made accessible to the entire community and, for this reason, some technical measures have been adopted.
«In every piece of equipment – continued Arnone – the thickness of the rubber is the minimum so as not to be invaded by grass or mud and to make use easier». Some stations have raised some doubts, since there are no protections or fences of any kind. «We hope for correct use of the equipment by the visitors» explain the coordinator of the Public Green of the 4, Lorenzo Ciravegna, and the coordinator of Sport, Sonia Gagliano.
