Towards the elimination of rainbow flocking in Ligue 1

RMC Sport announced this Monday on its website that players should no longer wear the jersey with rainbow printing against homophobia from this season. Source of controversy, several players having refused to wear it in recent seasons, the League would therefore renounce this symbol which causes a lot of tension. But its disappearance would not mean the end of the League’s actions to fight homophobia.

As part of its fight against discrimination, the LFP will organize in the spring a day against racism and anti-Semitism and another against homophobia, with a priori common jersey for these two events. For the moment, according to our information, a meeting is planned for mid-November between the League and the associations concerned to discuss the system that will be put in place.
