The prefect of Diourbel, Mamadou Khouma, announced the ban on the circulation of motorcycles in Jakarta from midnight to 6 a.m. in Diourbel. The measure will cover a period of 3 months initially, before another meeting to decide whether to extend the decision or not.
This decision was taken because of the growing insecurity in Diourbel, the culmination of which was reached a few days ago with the death of a Jakartaman. “We have noticed growing insecurity and the majority of attacks take place at night. We have therefore decided to issue an order to ban the circulation of motorcycles in Jakarta from October 23. The measure will last 3 months, then we will evaluate the results to know if we will extend the measure or not”announced Mamadou Khouma on Baol Times.

According to the prefect, the different parties were informed and they gave their agreement.
