Despite all the signings this summer, the Lakers remain a two-headed monster. The Anthony Davis-LeBron James duo still dominates the squad, despite the King’s recent statement about his partner. Statement on which he was sharply reprimanded.
Next season, the Lakers will have a great opportunity to claim a new champion title thanks to their summer moves. Rob Pelinka has indeed managed to bring in a lot of free agents and has built a squad clearly calibrated to dominate the Western Conference. If the group seems rather homogeneous, it must be admitted that LeBron James et Anthony Davis still remain the two headliners.
The duo of superstars will therefore have to maintain a high level of performance for their team to achieve its objectives. As far as the King is concerned, there seems to be little doubt. The viral images of its preparation thus suggest that he will once again come back very sharp. However, his latest statements about Unibrow suggest that he plans to step back slightly:

According to LeBron, it is Davis who must be considered the figurehead of the Lakers. However, given James’ popularity and the divisive side of the pivot, these comments were not unanimous. The last few seasons have also shown that AD had not yet completely taken over from his elder brother. On the set of First TakeStephen A. Smith therefore took the liberty of contradicting the Chosen One:
First of all, LeBron can still be considered the face of the league globally. As such, how is it possible that one of his teammates is the face of his franchise? That does not make any sense. If LeBron James publicly proclaims that his friend Anthony Davis is the face of the Lakers, it is probably to motivate him even more. We can understand the approach, even if Stephen A. Smith finds it totally insane.
