Trento – La sixth edition of the Sports Festival Of Trentoby title “The great beauty”, predicts more than 150 events and beyond 200 guestsnational and international.
The camps will be ready to welcome you to try new experiences: climbing will be as usual in Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore, padel and basketball in Piazza Fiera, martial arts with judo, wrestling and karate in Piazza Cesare Battisti. The big news will be the Gazzetta Active Village, an open-air gym in Piazza Dante under the guidance of the gold champion at the 1996 Atlanta Games and bronze at the 2004 Athens Games Jury Chechi who will take on the role of both trainer and interviewer during the talks with the samples present.
Don’t get lost then the “Campionissime” exhibition: a series of iconic bicycles, all signed Ernesto Colnago, to retrace the history of the bicycle and its champions. It can be visited at Palazzo Trentini every day from 9am to 7pm. A historic center suitable for Festivals. During the four days of the Sports Festival the historic center of Trento will not stand idly by and will dress up to best host an event of this magnitude. Valentina Comuzzi, designer by profession and paper florist by passion, in collaboration with the disabled children of the non-profit cooperative Laboratorio Sociale of Trento she created decorations using old editions of the Gazzetta dello Sport so as to set up the windows of various shops including Corona and the Dolcemente ice cream shop ( which will exhibit some airplanes made with the pages of the pink newspaper), with a single widespread project. A sign of collaboration between traders that paints the neighborhood pink in homage to sport, the famous newspaper and the event that enriches the city schedule every year.
The initiative is developed in collaboration with Cti (Consorzio Trento Initiatives), coordinated by Vera Boni of Pulk Spazio Creativo and Giovanna Felluga of Casa Trentini Atemporary Art Apartments to which is added the participation of Autorimessa Europa, City Bar, Profumeria De Paoli, Libreria Scala, Il Lord, Intrecci Sartoria and Wooden Store.
Several other merchants also responded to the appeal: Antichità Gasperetti Bruno, Store 67, Cash Cow, Interno 11, Civico 37 and 19dieci will offer the possibility of playing table football matches in their spaces, and for those who want to try to be the best of the city in soccer the Fiorentina bar will organize tournaments as well as live music. In the Depaoli perfumery, however, you can play checkers. And again, the Gastronomy will display racing bicycles for children, Dream sports equipment, the Pasi bar boxing-related equipment and Aquila Store will host Meet & Greets with professional basketball players. Finally, Libroteka will put some old themed items on sale, and a small golf course will be set up in the Le Albere parapharmacy. The proposal, organized by the Trento Initiative Consortium, aims to involve the city and make traders active actors during the festival.
