The colossi of Week 4 in the NFL

Josh Allen, Christian Mccaffrey and Khalil Mack stand out this week on the gridirons.

The Buffalo star destroyed the Dolphins defense to tighten the race for the AFC lead

Los The Buffalo Bills are finally fighting at the top of the American Conference after their lopsided victory this Sunday over the Miami Dolphins, thanks to a stellar performance by quarterback Josh Allen.

This is Josh Allen’s debut at the top of our all-star list this season after destroying the Dolphins defense, leaving a team that was coming off a historic performance in Week 3 without a chance.

Without further ado, these were the best players of the fourth date of the 2023 regular season in the NFL:

Is anyone more deserving of this honor than a player responsible for five of the six touchdowns his team scored?

Josh Allen became a human video game and had a spectacular performance that included a perfect 158.3 passer rating.

The Bills quarterback completed 21 of the 25 passes he attempted for 320 yards and four touchdowns, plus he averaged 4.3 yards per carry and one score on the ground, need I say more?

If at this point you’re still not convinced that Josh Allen deserves to be considered the Colossus of Week 4, let’s take a look at what he did in the second quarter, with the game tied 14-14, Josh Allen led three scoring drives that included two touchdown passes to Stefon Diggs to pull within 31-14, practically putting the game away before the end of the first half.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

If not for Josh Allen’s spectacular day, McCaffrey would have won our award this week after finishing with three touchdown carries and a scoring reception in the Niners’ win over the Arizona Cardinals. McCaffrey finished with 177 yards from scrimmage and surpassed Jerry Rice’s record for most consecutive games scoring touchdowns with 13.

Josh Allen would hardly have had his stellar day without a partner of Diggs’ caliber, who finished with six receptions for 120 yards, three of them for touchdowns. That is, half of the times Diggs caught the ball the play ended in the end zone.

How common is it to see a player finish a game with six sacks? Mack became just the sixth defender to have that production since sacks became an official statistic in 1982, falling one short of tying the record set by Derrick Thomas with the Kansas City Chiefs in 1990 and setting a record for the Chargers. . That’s how spectacular Mack’s day was against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Broncos were having such a terrible day that their defense made Justin Fields look like a future Hall of Famer. The Bears led as many as 28-7 before Wilson regained his memory to lead a comeback at Soldier Field, directing four scoring drives in the final 16 minutes, including three that ended in touchdowns. It was not a spectacular day for Wilson, but if the Broncos owe the victory to anyone, it is their quarterback.

Cooper Kupp’s absence hasn’t had as devastating an impact on the Rams thanks to the emergence of rookie Nacua, who broke the 100-yard receiving barrier for the third time this season, finishing with nine catches for 163 yards and a touchdown — the one that sealed the victory in overtime– against the Indianapolis Colts.
