Information about the case was provided by the website melnicky.deník.cz. Referee Tomáš Brožek described the situation in the minutes of the match. He concluded everything by saying that it was impossible to play on given the situation and the presence of the investigating police.
Tomáš Boháček, the leader of the guests, reported to the referee during the half-time break that the cabin had been robbed. He also announced that “the visiting players will not start the second half due to psychological damage from the loss of personal belongings and a stolen car”.
The organizers called the police, who started questioning the players and waited for the arrival of technicians to secure the tracks.
“Based on these circumstances, I have decided that it is impossible to finish the match,” the referee wrote, adding that neither side had any objections.
According to guests from Boleslavsk, several mobile phones, wallets, cards, car keys were lost from their cabin, and one car parked near the playground was also missing.
As Vlasta Suchánková, the spokeswoman for the Central Bohemian Police, confirmed to Deník, the perpetrator broke into the cabin unobserved by the actors of the match from the street through a small window into the bathroom.
“He stole six mobile phones, payment cards, twenty thousand crowns and keys to three cars. At the same time, he stole one of them and left the place with it. It was an Audi A4,” specified the police spokeswoman, according to whom it was already possible to find several mobile phones, which the perpetrator got rid of.
The stolen car was later encountered by a police patrol of the district department of Česká Skalice in the Hradec Králové region. “After a short chase, the vehicle stopped, the persons ran away from it, but the police arrested them. It was the entire crew of the car, two men and one woman,” the spokeswoman informed, adding that who and how participated in the criminal activity will be the subject of further investigation.
Similar cases happen rarely. Years ago, however, a whole series of similar cases happened during matches of lower competitions in Prague.
