This year’s record attendance (380,000 people over the weekend) convinced the Walloon region to continue its financial efforts to ensure the extension of the contract. Like many other Grands Prix, the promoters have also tried to put in place numerous events on the sidelines of the race to meet the new “standards” of Formula 1.
The date inaugurated this year (end of July instead of end of August), already renewed for 2024, should still be in effect for what will be the 58th appearance of Formula 1 on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, the fourth most used circuit by the Championship since 1950 (behind Monza, Monaco and Silverstone).
