“Sunday will be a complicated day”

MADRID, 14 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish driver Joan Mir (Repsol Honda) has assured that he has not been able to ride “exactly” as he wanted during the sprint race of the Indonesian Grand Prix, in which he finished sixteenth, and has warned that Sunday will be “complicated” run due to high tire temperatures.

“Today was not what we expected. After yesterday’s sensations, I thought we had the potential to enter Q2, but I reached the limit quite early,” he said in statements provided by his team about his position in the classification, nineteenth.

The Spaniard also analyzed his performance in the sprint race. “In the sprint race, I tried to recover positions but I couldn’t ride exactly as I wanted in the first few laps. Once I found some clean air and free space, I was happy with my times, which were similar to those of the first six,” he noted.

However, Mir warns of the difficulty of driving this Sunday at the Mandalika International Circuit. “Tomorrow will be a complicated day, at the end of today’s race it was difficult to finish because the tire temperature was very high,” he concluded.
