In the final of the MLB playoffs, two teams that no one expected will meet: the Rangers and the Diamondbacks.

In their role as underdogs, the Texas Rangers and the Arizona Diamondbacks felt right at home in this year’s MLB playoffs: both threw out one favorite after the other, the Rangers most recently beating the Astros in the heated duel in Texas, who have won the World Series since 2017 and 2022 .
In the quarterfinals, Arizona first embarrassed the ever-favored Los Angeles Dodgers and now the star-studded Philadelphia Phillies. And no one really knows how the Diamondbacks did it.
Garcia with a record
The Rangers’ star so far has been Adolis Garcia. In the semifinals, the Cuban, who was temporarily thrown out of the 40-man squad in 2021 due to poor performance, hit, among other things, 5 home runs. In the 7 games he scored 15 points – a record. For Arizona, rookie Corbin Carroll stands out.
If the surprises continue like this, the “D’backs” would have to win the World Series, which begins on Saturday night at the Rangers. They have already amazed you once: in 2001, they won the title in only the fourth year of their existence.
