Red Team Dominates Barraqueño with 3-0 Win in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

After the break due to the dates of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, the Red team returned with everything. Under a large crowd, Carlos Tevez’s team beat Barraqueño 3-0 without leaving any doubt.

From the beginning, Rojo set the tone for the game and patiently put the visitor into their own field. After 1-0 due to a lethal header from Matías Giménez Rojas, everything became simpler. High pressure, fast play and arrivals overwhelmed Huevo Rondina. Thus came the second after a recovery by Saltita González, who did not hesitate and hit a left foot that made Desábato’s stretch sterile.

Nothing changed in the final part, just to affirm what was done in the first 45 minutes. The 3-0 did not take long to arrive after another good play between Giménez Rojas, Canelo and that Chaco Martínez defined from under the goal. The difference could have been greater depending on the game and situations, such as Alexis’ shot on the post and the goalkeeper’s save on Kevin López’s shot that asked for an angle.

With nine dates played in the South Finance Cup, CAI reached 18 points and leads Zone A. The next date will be Wednesday, October 25 and Independiente will visit River Plate, second with 17, starting at 9:00 p.m.
