According to reports from Spain, Real Madrid are considering Jose Mourinho as a possible successor to Carlo Ancelotti for next season. Ancelotti has already announced that he will leave De Koninklijke after this season.
Other names that have been linked with the head coach position at Real include Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso and Zinedine Zidane.
Jose Mourinho, currently coach of AS Roma, is a well-known face at Real Madrid. He was already at the helm of the club between 2010 and 2013 before being succeeded by Ancelotti. With Mourinho a possible candidate for a return to Real, the club’s former coach might turn the tables.
Mourinho’s contract with AS Roma expires at the end of the season and it is uncertain whether he will renew it. This opens the possibility of his return to Real Madrid. In addition to Real, Saudi Arabia is also reportedly interested in Mourinho, with an offer of 120 million euros for a two-year contract.
