Spurs, at the best start to the season in their history since 1960, have improved their score further, with a total of seven wins and two draws, thus remaining two points ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal.
The team transformed by new coach Ange Postecoglu got the better of the Cottagers thanks to goals in the first half from Heung-min Son – his seventh goal of the season – and in the second half from Maddison, assisted by the Korean.
