It’s the start of fall, hockey is starting, baseball is in the playoffs, the CFL is entering the playoffs, and it’s week 6 of the NFL.
I really love fall. This is a truly extraordinary sports season.
But the NFL should understand the message!
Another week where teams are looking to score a touchdown. Not 2, not 3, not 4, just ONE!
Talk to the Jets, Eagles, Browns, Giants, Bills, Patriots, Seahawks, Buccaneers, Cards, Bears, Saints.
Honestly, it’s terrible.
The NFL wants to emphasize offense, all the rules of the sport are now converging to give them an advantage, and this is the end result we are being offered?
A bunch of pathetic offenses with quarterbacks who all make over $40 million a year, but aren’t trusted to throw the ball aggressively, and we have an offensive coordinator who now makes $5 million a year , but who wouldn’t even be able to call the games at Jean-Eudes college.
So call me back at week 14, right now I don’t want to see the practices and rehearsals of these attacks, I want to see when the show is going to get good.
I’m going back to baseball and the CFL.
That said, the Jets at 3-3 after 6 games and Aaron Rodgers throwing before the game… can we believe it?
