Pablo Abián has been one step away from the medals at the Dutch Open, a tournament held in Hertogenbosch (Netherlands), by falling to the Ukrainian Danylo Bosniuk in three tight sets.

The Bilbili native has had a good competition when going back to French Sacha Leveque (19-21, 21-10 and 21-13) and by defeating the Swiss Julien Scheiwiller (22-20 and 21-9)but could not get past the quarterfinals by losing to Bosniuk 21-12, 19-21 and 17-21.

The IES La Orden player started the match in command and was close to beating him, but the Ukrainian’s reaction in the second set frustrated the Spaniard’s goal, and he could not win the third either.
