Rémi Feuillet Wins Silver Medal and Increases Olympic Total to 1,089 Points

Rémi Feuillet collects 496 points after winning the silver medal yesterday, thus increasing his Olympic total.

Rémi Feuillet made our four-color float in Cairo, Egypt yesterday, taking 2nd place in the -90 kg category. He fell in the final to the host nation’s representative, Ali Hazem. However, Rémi Feuillet was not unworthy because he gave everything. He even improved his performance compared to the 2023 edition where he finished the tournament in bronze. Congratulations to Rémi Feuillet for this! And for having allowed our country, despite a very limited number of participants – only two, namely Priscilla Morand and himself – not to finish these championships empty-handed.

Rémi Feuillet previously emerged winner of Pool C, after beating Abdoula Millimino and Carmel Kone respectively. Thus validating his ticket for the semi-finals, he took on the measure of the Senegalese Ryan Dacosta during this one.

Thanks to his silver medal, Rémi Feuillet collected 496 points (490 for 2nd place and 6 for participation). Added to the 593 points he had, his Olympic total is now 1,089 points. He thus overtakes Priscilla Morand (1,034 points) in the race for Olympic qualification via the continental quota. He therefore seems well on his way to a second participation in the Olympic Games after that of 2020 in Tokyo.
