Like Führich, Müller is in a good mood. And the new national coach would also take on a completely new role. “I’m ready for any shameful act,” joked the world champion before Nagelsmann’s debut against the USA. “If I’m supposed to play left-back, I’ll play left-back.” But that, he added with a smile, “wouldn’t be a good idea. But Julian knows me, my strengths and weaknesses – and accordingly there are few question marks. I can play any position on the offensive.” Müller denied that there had been animosity between him and Nagelsmann since their time together at FC Bayern. “My relationship with Julian has always been and is good.”
