Merzlikin returned to “Blue Jackets” training after being ill

Merzlikin went two periods last Sunday, making 24 of 25 shots and helping the Blue Jackets beat the New York Rangers 5-3.

The Latvian hockey player did not continue the game due to a stomach virus in the third period, in which the reserve goalkeeper Spencer Martins played, who managed 15 of 17 shots.

Merzlikin missed the previous match due to illness, in which the Blue Jackets lost 0-4 to the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday. Martin made 24 of 28 shots.

The Columbus club reports that Merzlikin has returned to training and may play in the team’s next match.
