Day on day, nine years ago: Verstappen’s F1 debut
In 2014, Max Verstappen took his place behind the wheel of an F1 car for the first time. The Dutchman made his debut in the premier class of motorsport for the Torro Rosso team during a training session in the run-up to the Japanese GP, a few days after his birthday. At the age of seventeen years and 3 days, he was the youngest driver to ever compete in Formula 1. However, his racing debut did not occur until the following season during the Australian GP, which was held on March 15, 2015.
