DRUENTO – Judo Kumiai, splendid performance by ES.B who won 4 gold medals, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals in the Italia Veneto trophy in Ponzano Veneto.
JUDO KUMIAI, 4 GOLD, 1 SILVER AND 2 BRONZE MEDALS
Ponzano Veneto, venue of this weekend’s Trofeo Italia Veneto ES.B, smiled at Kumiai who in the two days of competition won 4 gold medals respectively with Gabriele Carabotto, Chiara Daniele, Sofia Guion and Elisa Palermo1 silver medal with Alessandro Arbulla and 2 bronze medals respectively with Alessio Minutillo and Greta Campanella.
A spectacular red circle performance that allowed the Druentina club, present here with the technicians Massimiliano Pasca, Lisa Martina and Michele Capasso, to climb onto the second step of the podium in the men’s ranking on Saturday and even, on Sunday in the women’s ranking, on the first step where the view of the horizon is notoriously better. A great satisfaction when so much work has been done! Gabriele Carabotto in the 50 kg category he is seeded number one and best honors this role with a convincing performance. Four beautiful victories led him to put a well-deserved gold medal around his neck. After the victory in the Olbia stage, today there is new confirmation of his growth which consolidates his leading role in the category. Edoardo Dappiano also involved in the 50 kg, he won on his debut and was beaten in the second, he won the first recovery only to be stopped in the second and finish the competition in ninth place.
Alessandro Arbulla engaged in the 73 kg category, he won two good victories before being stopped in the final for gold. Despite himself, he must be content with climbing onto the second step of the podium and it is a shame not to have been able to make the most of the opportunity to put a shinier metal medal around his neck.
Alessio Minutillo in the 46 kg category he won two good victories in the first two matches, he was stopped in the quarterfinals by Mastrorillo, of Kumiai Sanremo, and then recovered and won two victories which put him on the third step of the podium with the bronze medal around his neck. Also noteworthy are the fifth places achieved by Matthias De Laurentiis, Decasport company, in 42 kg and from Fabrizio Marino, CUS Turin company, in the 81 kg category. For both, a performance that stopped at the foot of the podium. The Kumiai Sanremo instead, he won a silver with Alessio Maiano kg +81 and a bronze with Andrea Mastrorillo in the 46 kg category.
THE WOMEN’S COMPETITION
On Sunday in the women’s competition for the Kumiai there was a real show from dof the four Druentine athletes who all reached the podium. A truly remarkable performance! Let’s start from Chiara Daniele who in the 44 kg category achieved the three victories necessary to secure the well-deserved gold medal around his neck. Her performance was decidedly good and improved on the previous one in Olbia where she had won silver.
Sofia Guion in the 48 kg he does the ”double”. First place in Olbia and first place today. He scores four victories in the four matches played and deservedly climbs onto the first step of the podium. His performance was good and attests to the improvements made in the last period with the two stages of the Italian Trophy won.
Greta Campanella in the 52 kg category she won two good victories before being stopped in the semi-final. The final for the bronze medal has no history with the Druentina determined to put the bronze medal around her neck. Mission accomplished!
Elisa Palermo in the +70 kg he achieved two good victories to climb onto the first step of the podium and put this fourth gold medal in the stages of the Italian trophy around his neck.
