Jeollanam-do Athletes Shine at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games: Governor Sends Congratulatory Message

South Jeolla Province Governor Kim Young-rok sent a congratulatory message of encouragement to the entire 49 Jeonnam athletes and medalists from Jeollanam-do who impressed people with their passion and fighting spirit at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games.

The Jeonnam team performed well in this competition, winning a total of 16 medals, including 2 gold, 5 silver, and 9 bronze, contributing to Korea’s overall 3rd place.

Jeong Na-eun (Hwasun County Office), who competed in the badminton women’s team event, and Choi Mi-seon (Gwangju Bank), who competed in the archery recurve women’s team event, won their first Asian Games gold medals. Cycling Shin Dong-in (Gangjin County Office) won a total of three medals in Madison, winning silver in the team sprint and team pursuit.
