Athletes from Incheon University are participating in the ‘104th National Sports Festival’ held in the Mokpo area of ​​Jeollanam-do.

According to Incheon National University on the 18th, the Incheon National University team, which participated in four sports including badminton, table tennis, tennis, and track and field, won seven gold medals, one silver medal, and one bronze medal. This is Incheon University’s best performance ever at the National Sports Festival.

In badminton, which was held as a pre-game, Sunju Yoon (4th year, Department of Exercise and Health) and Jooyoung Bang (3rd year, Department of Exercise and Health), who competed in the women’s college individual doubles match on the 10th, reported victory by winning their first gold medal. Then, on the 14th, they defeated Busan University of Foreign Studies in the team event and added a gold medal, achieving 5 gold medals at this year’s national competition.

In the table tennis team, Sooyeon Lee (3rd year, Department of Exercise and Health) won the gold medal in the women’s college individual singles match on the 16th, and then teamed up with Choi Seon (Inha University) in the mixed doubles match on the 17th, two days later, to win another gold medal. Incheon National University won the table tennis team event on the 18th, achieving three wins in the competition.

In tennis, she unfortunately only finished third in the team event, but Yuna Kim (3rd year, Department of Exercise Health) won the gold medal in the individual singles and won both the team and individual events at the National Sports Festival.

In addition, in track and field, Jinbeom Kim (3rd year, Department of Exercise and Health) won a gold medal by setting a new university record in the 1,600m mixed relay. He won a silver medal in the 1,600m men’s college relay.
