This Wednesday, October 4, the new Marie-Amélie Le Fur sports center was inaugurated in Chambly (60). It will be dedicated to the practice of badminton, which occupies a special place in the hearts of Camblysians.
The Hauts-de-France Region, which has chosen an ambitious sports policy, is fully invested in the development of practices everywhere and for everyone. Close to its athletes, the Region has enabled the Chambly badminton club to acquire new quality equipment.
A sports hall for the best badminton club in France
Titled French champion for the eighth time in a row, in May 2023, this new sports equipment will allow the Badminton Club Chambly Oise (BCCO) to take on a new dimension. Its management is entirely entrusted to him, a desire of Xavier Bertrand, President of Hauts-de-France.
New doubly certified equipment
This new equipment is both labeled “Paris Games preparation center” and “Hauts-de-France sports excellence”. An additional asset for the sporting attractiveness of the Hauts-de-France region, a land of sports, which makes it possible to combine the high level of performance of the club and excellent technical training conditions.

This sports hall is a 1,400 m² space with a capacity of 838 fixed places, plus telescopic stands, which will offer 135 places, for a total of 973 places. Currently, the Chambly badminton team has, in the main hall, nine training courts, five courts for competitions and reception spaces of 300 m².
This space will be able to host national and international sporting events for badminton. Also, it will be able to host sporting events for different disciplines.
