Holger Rune: “I really like my reputation! »

On this day at the end of September, Holger Rune welcomes us on the sixth floor of his Monaco pied-à-terre, facing the sea, not far from Monte-Carlo Bay which welcomes players during the Principality’s Masters 1000. Everything is immaculate white in the studio, where we are accompanied by her sister, Alma, who, sitting on the bed, will not miss a word of the interview. Everyone remembers the ball of energy that caused a stir at POPB, to the point of winning the Parisian Masters 1000 trophy after beating five members of the top 10 in a row: Hubert Hurkacz (10th), Andrey Rublev (9th), Carlos Alcaraz (1st), Félix Auger-Aliassime (8th) and, finally, Novak Djokovic (7th). A great achievement and a first major title for a young Dane, then 19 years old, full of nerve and strengths in his agile and hard-hitting game.
