Golf, LPGA Boutier becomes world No. 3 again

Victorious on Sunday in Kuala Lumpur of her fourth title of the season on the LPGA Tour, Céline Boutier, 5th in the world last week, returns this week to the 3rd place she had already occupied this summer.

The coronation of Céline Boutier will have to wait a little longer. While the most optimistic predictions saw her rise from 5th to 1st place in the world, the day after her victory at the Maybank Champiship on Sunday, the official ranking published this Monday delivered its verdict: the Frenchwoman, already reached 3rd place in the heart of summer, after its sequence of Evian Championship – Scottish Open, this week finds its best ranking behind the Chinese Ruoning Yin, new n°1, and the American Lilia Vu, down one level.

The three players are close to each other on average points: 7.84 for the No. 1, 7.80 for her runner-up and 7.72 for the Frenchwoman. Everything therefore suggests that the first day of Boutier’s reign is coming soon.
