It’s been a tough postseason physically for D-backs catcher Gabriel Moreno. The Venezuelan was hit in the head by a swing in Game 2 of the National League Wild Card Series and left the game. He then was hit in the right arm by some type of foul in Game 3 of the National League Division Series, so he also left the game.
Moreno was fortunate to avoid a concussion in Milwaukee, and it appears he was also able to avoid a serious injury against the Dodgers, as the x-rays he underwent came back negative.
“We are moving forward full steam ahead with him as our starting catcher for Game 1,” D-backs manager Torey Lovullo said.
