The former Unicaja coach, Bozidar Maljkovic, entered the Spanish Basketball Hall of Fame this Thursday. The Serbian coach was one of the personalities recognized at the gala that the Spanish Federation held in Seville. The award-winning coach has a close relationship with national basketball, not only because of the four seasons he directed the Malaga team, but because he also served on the benches of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Baskonia.
Unicaja wanted to support Maljkovic in this very special event held in Seville. Berni Rodríguez, Carlos Cabezas, former president Ángel Fernández Noriega and the club’s institutional marketing manager, José Carlos Gaspar, traveled to the city of Seville. Maljkovic thanked the Spanish Federation for recognizing his career and had very kind words for Unicaja and its fans.
Bozidar Maljkovic was presented with the recognition by national coach Sergio Scariolo. “I am so happy to be here. My first stay after leaving the legendary Jugoplastika was Barcelona. It’s been a long, long time, time passes quickly, but the important thing is not how old you are but how much time you have left. I must say thanks to the four clubs I was in: Barcelona, Real Madrid, Baskonia and Unicaja. Thanks to your hobbies, managers…”
