Two people of foreign nationality were arrested in flagrante delicto by the Carabinieri of the Pontedera Company for aggravated theft in conspiracy and carrying weapons or objects capable of offending.
The incident occurred in Calcinaia, where the soldiers of the Carabinieri stations of Buti and Cascina intervened at a local supermarket, following a report from the Operations Centre, intercepting, identifying and controlling the two, suspected of having carried out a theft inside the store. .
The search, which also included the car in use, allowed the recovery of various foodstuffs worth 70 euros and a baseball bat, kept inside the vehicle.
Both were arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities, while the goods were returned to the supermarket.
