The 2030 World Cup is scheduled to take place on three continents. There is now a preliminary plan on how the travel hardships will be managed.

The game plan is to be adapted specifically for the 2030 World Cup, which will take place in six countries and on three continents.

The six teams that play their opening games in South America and then have to travel on to Morocco, Spain or Portugal should be given “around eleven to twelve days for travel and regeneration before the second game”. The final of the 2030 World Cup is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 21st.

The world association FIFA announced this preliminary plan. Accordingly, the three games in South America are scheduled to take place on June 8th and 9th, 2030, a few days before the official opening games of the World Cup, which will be played on June 13th and 14th in Morocco, Portugal and Spain.

Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay and their respective opponents on the first matchday would then only play their second group game on June 21st and 22nd.

The FIFA Council announced on Wednesday that the 2030 World Cup would begin with three games in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay and then be played in Morocco, Spain and Portugal. The decision still needs to be confirmed by the FIFA Congress. According to FIFA, this is expected to happen in the fourth quarter of 2024.
