This evening it was a big match broadcast on national TV channels as the French XV faced the South African Springboks in an intense World Cup quarter-final! Our editorial staff went to different places in the city where fans had met. Starting with the brasserie restaurant Au Bureau in the north of the city where the ”scrum half” flowed freely and met with great success. The Les Mouettes brasserie was fully booked and had set up a marquee for the occasion! A few bars on the quays of Mâcon also welcomed fans such as Voltaire, Blue Note and Café des Arts. The biggest crowd was obviously at the Émile Vanier stadium where the AS Mâcon Rugby club had installed a fan zone with a giant screen and a sound system managed by the company LedTo.
