European Tour, Alfred Dunhill Championship Third round postponed again

The third round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland was due to take place on Sunday. However, the players will have to wait a little longer before crossing swords again.

Since Friday evening, 79 millimeters of rain have fallen in Scotland. On Saturday, the third round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship had already been postponed to Sunday. But since then the bad weather has not stopped. As a result, on Sunday morning, the courses were still flooded. At the end of the morning, the organizers therefore decided to postpone the start of the third round again until Monday. The tournament is also reduced to 54 holes, a first in the history of the event, added to the calendar 22 years ago.

Only the first 30 teams, and tied after 36 holes, will participate following the hostilities while in the individual event all professional players will be authorized to tee off on Monday morning. The runners-up Nacho Elvira and Grant Forrest (-12 total), will therefore have to wait again before chasing the leader Matt FItzpatrick (-13). The Frenchman Matthieu Pavon, 6th at -9, will also be able to try to join in this fight for victory while his compatriots Antoine Rozner, 16th (-7) and Julien Guerrier, 24th (-6) will try to enter the Top 10 .
