VITERBO – Second official match for the girls of Domus Mulieris who, this Saturday afternoon, will be in Rome to face San Raffaele in a match valid for the Serie B basketball championship.

After the stop on their debut against Elite, the group led by coach Scaramuccia will try to redeem themselves against an opponent who, however, is considered among the announced protagonists of the season. Already last year, San Raffaele was Basket Roma’s only rival in Serie B, competing for first place during the regular season and only losing by a very narrow margin in the playoff final; this season the group coached by coach Sara Ciccalotti is once again indicated among the main favorites and immediately sent an important signal in the championship opener by imposing itself away from home against Team Up Roma.

“They have a consolidated group with many important individuals – comments coach Scaramuccia – and winning on their pitch has never been easy. Let’s not be fooled by the result of the match a couple of weeks ago in the tournament we played at their home, we know that we will find a very different opponent in terms of attitude and personnel who will present themselves on the pitch, as if that wasn’t enough we have been coming for a week complicated in terms of injuries and we don’t know if we will be able to recover some players who are fundamental for us. Whoever goes on the pitch, however, will have to give their all because I expect to see a lot of grit and determination.”

Conflicting news arrives from the infirmary for the Gialloblù technical staff. Captain Federica Pasquali was unable to train for the whole week due to the worsening of the knee problem suffered in the friendly test against Terni; almost certainly her forfeit in the trip to Rome. However, it is possible to see Elettra Paco again, at least for a few minutes, who had to miss her debut against Elite due to an ankle problem: coach Scaramuccia should take her to the bench and give her a few minutes on the pitch. Ankle problems also for Matea Atanasovska who, however, will be in her place to try to duel against the long opponents under the scoreboards.

The tap-off is scheduled for 7.30pm at the PalaAvenali in Rome, the match direction will be entrusted to Matteo Amato and Carlotta Venditti, both from Rome
