David Alaba’s Real Madrid Comeback Plan Revealed

While his ÖFB teammates are sweating for the qualifying clash against Belgium on Friday (8.45 p.m./live on Servus TV), captain David Alaba is successfully working on his Real comeback. The return of the defense boss is certain.

Whether the loss of Inter Milan striker Marko Arnautovic or the big question mark behind the duo Marcel Sabitzer (trained with the team for the first time on Wednesday) and Michael Gregoritsch. Team boss Ralf Rangnick has been receiving numerous bad news for days.

But the biggest shock was probably the absence of ÖFB team captain David Alaba. The Real Madrid star was called up to the red-white-red team, but the 31-year-old’s rejection came on Monday. There’s no chance of a qualifying double, but that’s what the comeback plan for the Royals is.

Alaba should be back on the pitch against Sevilla

Finally light at the end of the tunnel: During the league break, the defense boss is training for his return. The Spanish sports newspaper Marca has now even revealed the fixed date for Alaba’s return. In the cracker against Sevilla and former team-mate Sergio Ramos on October 21st (6:30 p.m.), the defense boss is expected to wear the Real jersey again.

Not only good news for ÖFB coach Rangnick, who could rely on his captain again in the last qualifying game against Estonia on November 16th, but also for Real coach Carlo Ancelotti. Antonio Rudiger is currently the only available central defender for the Spaniards. And it will stay that way until El Clasico on October 28th, as Nacho is suspended for three games after a red card.
