…….Their highest ranking ever in their career!
Jim Laugesen said on TV2 Sport yesterday after the final that they were probably the fittest couple in the world at the moment.
In terms of results, they have had some fantastic months with 6 finals since 2 July 2023.
Their game has had a stability they have not managed to perform in the past, where they have won big tournaments but have not been able to maintain the level. But they have not “just” shown stability, but also a calmness and faith in their own abilities in critical situations.
I have to admit, and at the same time apologize, – I didn’t think they had it in them and could lift their game further. From being very defensive based, they have changed their game to be much more offensive and offensive oriented, still with a great defensive.
It is impressive – and they have excited the badminton audience in the Queen’s Kingdom. Perhaps even awakened us spectators in the stands, so that we are now far more engaged and audible.
The WC in the Royal Arena may have been a game changer for the “joint experience” in Danish badminton!
I will never forget the atmosphere in the Arena!
