Ceremony Celebrates Opening of Louey Judo Club with Presence of Local Officials

At the Louey judo club, an official ceremony organized by the Occitanie Judo League took place, in the presence of the mayor and other elected officials from the municipality.

The Occitanie Judo League and the Departmental Committee for this sport took part in the 6:15 p.m. course after having exchanged and visited the club without any particular formality. On this occasion, a €500 voucher, a banner and an inauguration plaque were given to the president of the club.

Present for the League were: Philippe Fargues, vice-president secretary general of the League, Marc Delvingt, CTS of the League, Manon Baquié, communications manager of the League. Were present for the committee of 65: Cyril Maury president of the committee of 65 and Marion Dupont, CFT of the committee of 65.

The evening began with a word of introduction from the elected officials of the League who were delighted to see the club created two years ago continuing; then a session for the children took place. Then André Monpelat, professor of the club, (40 years of teaching who ends his career with this honor) thanked the League and the CD 65 for providing valuable help and for having chosen the Louey club which will allow him to develop, without forgetting to thank his partner (president) Nathalie Cassou, Grégory Cherrif the secretary (but also black belt judoka), Michel Monpelat the treasurer, the municipality and the mayor Christian Laborde who supported the creation of the club.

The latter precisely expressed his great satisfaction at having welcomed this very young club which since its opening has aroused great interest. He took up the values ​​of judo: self-control, courage, respect and honor. These values ​​that every judoka strives to apply in their everyday life as well as on the tatami mats; a complete sport, good for body and mind.
