A. Braga gave me the opportunity to compete in Europe at the highest level. The club was participating in European competition and the first week I arrived here and made my debut, I made my debut in the Europa League, at the Rangers stadium. At Barça I was not enjoying opportunities and Braga came with very clear ideas. We have won some titles and we are in the Champions League.

A. Yes, it is a very beautiful and special stadium. Former colleagues like Sergio Gómez and Juan Miranda make us hesitate with the mountain. But it’s better, at least I don’t know any similar ones I’ve seen in Europe, it’s special. I have always told ‘Miri’ and Sergio that they have to come and see it live. When you see it, you change your mind because it is a stadium that impresses.

V. They are. Both the fans and us. I am very excited to be able to welcome Real Madrid here, to be able to play this match and compete to the maximum to try to get the three points. In the city, everywhere is the Champions League logo. It’s nice to walk through the center and see that you are the one who is going to play that game.

Q. Have you noticed that the club has grown?
A. It is noticeable that there is growth at the level of infrastructure, sports, personnel and everything that surrounds the club. It is a constant growth. This is seen in the League, in the tournaments won and in the fact that we are playing in the Champions League.
Q. How does Braga play?
A. It is a super brave team, with a lot of personality. I think we have a lot of personality, we are a very offensive team that always looks for the opportunity to score in the opponent’s goal. It’s not going to be an easy game for Real Madrid. I think that here at home we are a very strong team, and that it will be difficult for them to get something out of our stadium, because, together with our fans, it is always a difficult field.
Q. Were you scared when the Real Madrid ball came out in the draw?
V. In the end, this match is always nice, you have to face big clubs. We knew that whoever we could play in the group was going to have a very difficult game. So, I was happy, but at the same time I was not happy. I’m also already waiting for the Bernabéu game to arrive, because I have been lucky enough to be able to play there and the truth is that it is a spectacular field.

V. I had the pleasure of being able to face him three or four seasons ago, when I played for Espanyol. It’s true, he can be a nightmare for me and the team, but hey, I’m going to try to defend him in the best way possible so that he doesn’t surpass me.

A. We are talking about a team that has great footballers. It has a super complete staff. Above all, I really like Fede Valverde, I see him as a very complete player, who does everything, he can come from the second line, he defends, he plays six, eight, ten… He seems to me to be a very complete player and another player. which will be very difficult to stop.
Q. Are you going to change the plan against Real Madrid?
A. I think not, not at all. We have our game plan and just because it is Madrid we are not going to change it.
