Second day of competition in the ATP Ferrero Challenger 2023, a day full of great stars who left their mark in Villena. Possibly the great attraction was the presence of Benoit Paire, a regular on the circuit in the last decade who continues to go down into the mud of the Challenger circuit to improve his ranking. He could not have started his career better in Villena, clearly and quickly beating the Israeli Daniel Cukierman, who came from the previous phase and was not a considerable obstacle for the Frenchman. (6-4, 6-1). In the second round, by the way, he will face one of Alcaraz’s contemporaries: it is Martin Dama familiar face of the Murcian during his journey through the junior circuit, who defeated Alberto Barroso from Extremadura in a much tighter match (6-4, 7-6(5)).
